I love the sleep lounge although I doubt a company like Google will allow workers to sleep that much. Offices like this can inspire creativity but I think I’d be too distracted to work. Not too sure about the pods I like to bounce ideas (and gossip) with my co workers

Cool factor is there – bringing outdoor pieces and ideas indoors. What I want to know is: Are they given a quota time in the ’sleep’ lounge area? Imagine the excuse if coming late to meetings, “Sorry I’m late, I was trying to dream up a solution for the …”

I have seen this before with Apple, GM, Disney, the State of California and 100’s of others. It is nice while it last but makes the same thud that others make on the way down. I hope they have a nice run.

While the office is inventive, it expresses a number of seemingly random ideas, perhaps responding to the personalities of the users or local reuseable resources. But the assemblage lacks an artistic hand, lending creativity to the shape of the space and lacks an overarching conceptual idea. In the images available, standard ceilings and solutions accompany simple painted walls, rectangular envelopes which enclose and prevent any excitement for these applied solutions.
